ABOUT
COACH2INSPIRE
Since 2019, Coach2Inspire has worked in and with Durham County to provide exceptional programs for youth development.
OUR
MISSION.
Our mission is to inspire youth to reach their full potential as players both on and off the court through individualized coaching and mentorship that cultivates a mindset of leadership, teamwork, and ambition.
Our everyday programming is structured around healthy living, teamwork, growth, and connection/community. We realize the opportunity in every practice for coaches and youth to learn from each other.
Our coaches are students who strive to form meaningful relationships within the Durham community through coaching and mentorship. We are a diverse group of leaders with an exceptional willingness to connect, learn, and grow with our teams. Our coaches are encouraged to reflect, seek feedback, and engage with parents to create the best possible program experience.
We are immensely grateful for our partnerships in the Durham community that have supported us in empowering young athletes and setting a new standard for volunteer, college-aged coaches.
OUR
VALUES.
Coach2Inspire builds a tangible connection between college students and their local community through coaching and youth mentorship. In this process, we aim to instill our players with leadership skills. Our coaches will foster these skills by training players to provide direction and motivate others to achieve their goals, both vocally and through example.
Discipline is crucial to improving the mental, physical, and social development of each individual. While we strive to improve basketball skill, we prioritize maximizing the potential of each child we interact with. In practice, this means stressing perseverance, celebrating individual differences, and pushing players beyond their comfort zones. Discipline also means that coaches hold themselves and teammates to these same standards.
We prioritize the physical and mental wellness of each player. A healthy lifestyle is built on the habits formed in our youth. By providing support for healthy living through nutrition and sports, we hope to promote healthy habits and an attitude of discipline that will stick with players throughout their lives.
